Crate labels help prevent internal storage and transport errors
Available in various sizes and materials
Which label material do you choose for your crate labels?
Logistical companies make use of a wide range of bins and crates, all of which have to be labelled. Common types of bins and crates are e.g. nest and stack bins, hang and stack bins, shelf storage bins, bin trays, drawer bins, tilt bins, stackable warehouse crates, dividers, meat crates, and E-line storage bins. In addition, each working environment imposes other requirements on the labels and materials used.
Do you, for instance, use conveyor belts to transport your crates and bins? Do you store your crates outside? Do you frequently clean your crates and bins? These are aspects to take into account when choosing a suitable label material and that is why we offer different types of label material for crate labels. For your convenience and to enhance working quickly and efficiently, the labels are separated by a perforation. This allows you to tear off the labels easily and apply them quickly. If you are looking for labels with a longer shelf life, we can also provide bin and crate labels with a protective laminate.
Polyester crate labels
We use a polyester label material for the majority of our custom-made crate labels. This particular material has a strong adhesive strength as well as being highly resistant to changing weather conditions. Depending on your requirements, your polyester crate labels will receive a matte or glossy laminate finish. The laminate protects the barcode and the information on the label from:
- scratches caused by stacking and unstacking crates.
- mechanical damage due to conveyor belts.
- UV light during long-term outdoor use.
Paper crate labels
Paper is one of the most commonly used materials for bin and crate labels, because the material is inexpensive compared to polyester. If you own a thermal transfer printer, you can easily print your own crate labels so you will always have them on hand when you need them.
A downside to paper labels with a permanent adhesive, however, is that you cannot remove them with ease nor are they resistant to scratches or industrial cleaning agents.
Instead, you will find the labels disintegrate quickly over time, and when you try to remove them, residue of both the label and adhesive will be left behind on the surface.
Removable crate labels
If you prefer paper labels but do not look forward to scrubbing glue and label residue off your crates on the regular, why not combine the crate labels with our place label here label. This type of label is also known as a "label adapter" or "placard holder".
With the place label here label, you can easily remove paper labels from your crates and bins without leaving any residue behind on the surface. Afterwards, simply print a new barcode label and apply it to the label adapter and you are good to go.
We fully customise the place labelย here label for you so you can label all the stackable crates or nest and stack bins in your warehouse.
Advice on crate labels
Crate labels help to declutter and bring order to your warehouse. Each crate or bin receives a unique label that contains information about its location and contents. By simply scanning the barcode, you can easily track all crates within your warehouse to ensure you know where in the order process which product or order is located.
